History
Shoji graduated at the top of his class from the Department of Visual Design at Kanazawa College of Art and began his career in 2001 at a Japanese advertising agency.
He held multiple roles—including commercial planner, designer, art director, copywriter, and creative director—and developed advertising concepts and communication strategies for a wide range of sectors, from consumer electronics and video games to confectionery, food, and beverages, among others.
His work reflects a media- and method-neutral creative approach.
After joining a global healthcare communications agency in 2017, he collaborated with international teams from the U.S. and the U.K. to develop communication strategies for leading global pharmaceutical brands.
Since 2020, he has been serving as Executive Creative Director at a global digital agency based in Japan.
In addition to driving client business growth, he has focused on elevating the creative capabilities and visibility of his department.
He has earned numerous accolades from both domestic and international award festivals, including Cannes Lions, The CLIO Awards, Spikes Asia, The One Show, D&AD, London International Awards, AdFest, Mad Stars, and Cresta Awards.
He has also received major domestic honors, such as the Nikkei Advertising Awards, Japan Industrial Advertising Awards, Japan Magazine Advertising Awards, Newspaper Advertising Awards, JAA Advertising Awards, Dentsu Advertising Awards, and ACC Awards.
Additionally, he has served as a shortlist juror at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and as a juror for multiple international advertising festivals.
金沢美術工芸大学 視覚デザイン科を卒業後、内資系の総合広告代理店で約16年、外資系の業種特化型広告代理店で約3年のキャリアを経て、2020年よりグローバルデジタルエージェンシーに在籍。
多様な業種のクライアントとあらゆるメディアのコミュニケーション開発を手掛け、手法やメディアにとらわれず、
ターゲットの心を的確に捉えるためのメソッドニュートラルなアプローチができるクリエイティブスタイルを確立する。
Cannes Lions、The CLIO Awards、Spikes Asia、The One Show、D&AD、London International Awards、AdFest、Mad Stars、Cresta Awards等の国際広告賞や、日経広告賞、日本産業広告賞、日本雑誌広告賞、新聞広告賞、JAA広告賞、広告電通賞、ACC賞等の国内主要広告賞の受賞実績多数。
また、国際広告賞の審査員⻑や審査員を複数回にわたって務める。
